Comings and goings at the Provincial Council of the Diputacion in Almeria

The provincial council of ALMERIA, the Diputacion, called an extraordinary plenary session with the arrival of a member and three departures.

Maria Dolores Cruz Fernandez has been sworn in as the replacement for Juan Antonio Lorenzo, former spokesperson for the PSOE socialists, who now sits in the regional parliament.

After taking the oath on the Spanish Constitution, Cruz Fernandez, councilor at the town hall of Cantoria, accompanied by the local mayor Purificacion Sanchez, his friends and his family, was welcomed by the president of the Diputacion, Javier Aureliano Garcia.

Wishing her “good judgement” when defending Almeria province, Garcia assured her that she could always count on a helping hand from the leading team.

Meanwhile, three Partido Popular provincial councilors – Manuel Guzan, Maria del Carmen Navarro and Carmen Belen Lopez – have left their posts.

Manuel Guzman is now regional deputy in Seville, while Navarro is the junta’s territorial delegate for justice and Lopez will be the regional government’s territorial delegate for public works.
