IFPA launches Southern Hemisphere Commodities Task Force
The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) is launching the Southern Hemisphere Commodities Working Group Series to provide interactive virtual workshops for IFPA members in key markets of Brazil, Chile, Mexico, from Peru and South Africa.
The sessions will discuss pre-season scenarios, current market trends and international challenges. The first in the series will debut on May 26, 2022 with the Avocado Task Force. During the session, speakers will provide season updates from across the Southern Hemisphere.
The speakers of the May 26 working group will be: Ligia Falange Carvalho, President of the Brazilian Lawyers Association; Francisco Contardo, Executive Director of the Lawyer Committee of Chile AG; José Luis Gallardo Anguiano, President, APEAM, AC; Juan Carlos Paredes, President, Prohass Peru; and Derek Donkin, CEO of the South African Subtropical Growers’ Association.
Event attendees will also have the opportunity to share their learnings, focusing on logistics, sustainability, market development and branding.
