Samuel Kephart passed away on Sunday October 10, 2021 to be with his ancestors under the loving guidance of his Heavenly Father.

He was a dear friend and a kind, gentle man. He had a magnetic personality that was always welcoming and genuine. Sam was a gifted musician. Sam has traveled the world and performed with the New York Symphony Orchestra on Broadway, was in a quartet in Colombia and was fluent in Spanish; he has performed with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and many other local and foreign artists. He touched many lives over the years with his magnanimous personality, forging bonds that unite through all time. After his retirement, he made his home in Floyd, Virginia. He was an integral part of our community and was a gift to all who knew him. He loved his management here on this land and used his talents to fully embrace his gardening and permaculture farm.
