It’s a day to ‘remember, honor and teach’ it’s a fantastic way to honor our Toms River veterans with Church of St. Joseph and Catholic Donovan

This Saturday, December 18 is National Wreath Day Across America and the people of the Ocean County community will come together in Toms River to honor our veterans this Christmas.

There are approximately 1,600 veterans buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. Once again this year, Toms River is an official venue for Wreaths Across America, honoring veterans of the region.

The goal again this year is to place a Christmas wreath at every Veterans grave, provided by the caring people of the community who sponsor wreaths directly from Wreaths Across America.

I sat down with Father Scott from St. Joseph’s Church to discuss this amazing program that will be taking place in Toms River on Saturday ….

The event will take place on Saturday December 18 at noon at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. We’ll have photos from this year’s event to share with you this weekend, be sure to check out our social media @ 927wonbm

Thank you to our friends at St. Joseph’s RC Church and Donovan Catholic for making this year’s event possible again and I look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday in Toms River. By the way, you might want to bring an umbrella as it can rain.
